Shannan's Light

Shannan's Light is a permanent monument outside the Belleville General Hospital Emergency Department. Quinte Health and the Ontario Nurses' Association created it with Campbell Monument's contribution. It was unveiled on August 29, 2025—one day before what would have been Shannan's 28th birthday.
Education endowment
Learning that carries her care forward.
The Shannan Hickey Memorial Education Endowment was announced on November 25, 2025, by Quinte Health in partnership with the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation. It supports ongoing education and professional development for clinical and non-clinical Quinte Health staff.
